About Us

Our story

The journey of Lulu & Nat started ten years ago when my husband and I set out on a life-changing adventure by moving to India. It was here that Lulu & Nat was born.

Living in India became a personal re-discovery for the vivid, colourful printed textiles of the Sub-continent. Whilst on assignment in Jaipur,  we were lucky enough to meet some inspiring people who introduced us to the crafts of block printing & tapestry embroidery. We took the opportunity to explore these techniques and to test modern expressions through these ancient crafts. From here, we set about our goal to create a bold, vivid collection: Driven by colour & inspired by India.

On a separate journey, some months later aboard the Mandovi Express train to Goa, we met a block printer & embroiderer called Sabiha. Her support & guidance led to the production of our first small run of products. We then launched our first range, taken by The Cross in Holland Park, followed shortly after by Liberty, Trisha Guild, SCP & Cotton & Cologne among others.

Today, Lulu & Nat is a homeware store with a thoughtfully designed collection for the whole family. To this day, we continue to develop designs using traditional techniques with skilful craftspeople across India.
